• My name is Matthew Zloto, and I am running for a seat on the Bronxville School Board because I have a strong connection to the mission of the school, and I am deeply committed to ensuring our children are well-prepared for their futures beyond our school. Here’s why I believe you should vote for me:

    Parent Perspective

If current members are re-elected, three of seven Board members would have no children in the school — I offer a needed parent voice.  With three children currently in the Bronxville School (Blair in 5th, Blythe in 3rd, and Blake in 1st), my interests directly align with advancing students’ best interests. Next year, with children in both Elementary and Middle School, I’ll have firsthand insight into how Board decisions affect families daily and will be present and accessible at the school to all our stakeholders.

    Organizational Leadership

The Bronxville School is a large and complex organization requiring dynamic leadership – especially as we face rapidly changing technology and potential funding uncertainty from BOE and state budget changes.  As Co-President of CreditSights, I oversee hundreds of employees and thousands of customer relationships in our global credit markets research company. I navigate complex finance, human resources, and communication challenges daily. This leadership experience will help me contribute meaningfully to addressing our school’s organizational challenges over the next three years.

    Enhanced Communication

The need for improved communication is a topic that often comes up when speaking to parents, teachers and students. At CreditSights, I successfully managed stakeholder communication through our acquisition by Fitch and integration of three companies. I’ll bring this expertise to ensure transparency, responsive communication, and that all voices are heard in our school community. I will seek to foster two-way communication, provide transparency into decision making and build trust between parents, teachers and students that we are all working together towards our shared goal of educational excellence and college preparedness.

    Municipal Bond Expertise

With nearly two decades experience in credit markets, I bring specialized expertise for our upcoming capital project funding. In my current role as Co-President of CreditSights I oversee a team which publishes research, news and data focused on the credit markets – importantly including the municipal bond market.  I will use my personal knowledge and professional network to ensure our school secures optimal terms for our bond issuance, maximizing value for our community’s investment.

I appreciate the conversations many of you have shared with me in recent weeks about my candidacy. I’m committed to building upon our school’s excellence while bringing fresh perspective and relevant expertise to the Board.

I would be honored to have your vote.

    Sincerely,

    Matthew Zloto

  • Dear friends and fellow Bronxville residents,

When my husband Anthony and I moved to Bronxville 3 years ago, we could never have imagined the wonderful community about to welcome us.  Since watching our oldest walk through the playground doors of her Kindergarten classroom, we have been overwhelmed by the sense of camaraderie, friendship, school spirit, and commitment to excellence that permeates throughout the School.  I am running for the Board of Education to serve this community that has given so much to my family.  I look forward to volunteering my time, energy, and professional expertise to help the School adapt to the demands of working families, support the capital project set to begin in the coming years, and guide the School into the next chapter.

    Professional Skills

I am confident that I have the professional skills and insights needed to support the challenges presented to the Board.  I began my career as an insurance underwriter and have been practicing law for the past 12 years focused on insurance matters.  This experience in risk and liability assessment, due diligence, and oversight will serve me well as a Board member, especially as the Board implements the $20 million capital project focused mainly on the much-needed repairs to the Elementary School.

My practice also touches on other areas of the law including employment, commercial general liability, and litigation matters, which will provide an important – and different – perspective from those currently serving on the Board.  I believe that diversity of both thought and experience are the foundation for a successful Board.

Voice for New Generation of Parents

With young children in Elementary School (K and 3rd Grade next year), I am committed to the continued excellence of the School for the next 13+ years.    Many new families enter the School each year accustomed to the strong communications coming from their respective PreK programs.  My goal will be to strengthen communication between the Board and the community to match the expectations of the parents.  I promise to be accessible and approachable – on the playground, the sidelines of sporting events, in the auditorium, and the school pickup line.  I will strive to be visible and available for anyone to voice concerns or celebrate wins. Open communication, transparency, and approachability will help us bridge the gap that currently exists.

I will also be a vocal advocate for our working families. As Chair of my firm’s Parent & Carer Network, I listen to the needs of our parents and caregivers and collaborate to find solutions to their complex issues and help develop policies and programs to help better support them. I plan to do the same with our community here – listen, problem solve, and take action.

I am happy to be a part of this thriving community and am thrilled to have the opportunity to run for the Board of Education. I appreciate your consideration and look forward to your VOTE of confidence on May 20!

    Sincerely,

    Sarah Sepe

    • Matt and his wife Jen moved to Bronxville in 2022 with their three children—Blair, Blythe, and Blake—drawn by the community’s excellent schools, strong community spirit, and unique walkability close to Manhattan. As active members of the Bronxville community, they have participated in the Field Club and youth sports, including lacrosse, volleyball, field hockey, basketball, baseball, and flag football. Jen has also contributed significantly as a class parent for both first and second grade and served as Cookie Chair for the Bronxville Junior Girl Scout troop.

With three children enrolled in Bronxville schools, spanning elementary to middle school next year, Matt is deeply committed to ensuring our schools continue to educate, enrich, and engage our kids. While honoring the methods and knowledge that have served Bronxville well for decades, he advocates for equipping our children with new tools essential for their college and professional lives beyond Bronxville.

Professionally, Matt serves as Co-President of CreditSights, a research, news, and data company within the global corporate credit markets. Previously he worked at several investment firms and began his career at JPMorgan working in investment banking. Over the past three years, his firm has been acquired by Fitch and integrated three other companies, emphasizing technological advancement. Through these transitions, he facilitated effective communication among all key stakeholders. He ensured all voices were heard, weighing diverse opinions, and decisively communicating the company’s strategic direction.

Matt sees an opportunity to apply his professional experience as a Trustee for the Bronxville School Board. More robust communication among Parents, Teachers, and Students is needed as we navigate today’s rapidly changing world. Students face new challenges, especially in the area of technological advancement. He is eager to leverage his professional background to support these areas of need. Establishing best practices for communication and improving student preparedness for tomorrow are key issues he would focus on during his time on the Board.

Matt’s experience in stakeholder communication during periods of change, coupled with his vested interest as a parent in the Bronxville school system, positions him as an excellent candidate for Trustee. He is passionate about ensuring our school system remains exemplary and continues to evolve. He looks forward to discussing his background and ideas with members of the community, in order to maintain Bronxville’s status as one of the preeminent school systems in the United States.

    • Sarah and her family moved to Bronxville 3 years ago. She and her husband Anthony, like so many others, chose Bronxville for its excellent school, charming downtown, and a desire for a sense of community where their two children, Blythe and Charlie, could thrive. Blythe is currently a second grader in the Elementary School and Charlie will be entering Kindergarten next year. Sarah has served as a class parent in the Elementary School for the past 2 years, volunteering in the classroom and chaperoning field trips. She can often be found on the playground and on the sidelines of high school sporting events cheering on the Broncos. Sarah and Anthony are active parishioners at St. Joseph’s Church. Sarah is a member of the Mother’s Club and Anthony is a member of the Men’s Club and coaches Blythe’s CYO basketball team.

With young children in the Elementary School, Sarah is heavily invested in the continued long-term excellence of the School. She recognizes that the coming years present opportunities as the District embarks on the capital project and navigates rapid advancements in technology.  Sarah understands the needs and concerns of new families and would encourage more transparency in communications to this new generation of parents. While newer to the community, Sarah appreciates the wonderful traditions which remind her of the close-knit community she grew up in outside of Philadelphia.

She is the daughter of a former teacher and school administrator and sister of a special education teacher, which has provided her with a unique understanding of the challenges and pressures that come with those roles.  She has a deep respect for educators and wants to continue the tradition of recruiting, supporting, and maintaining fantastic teachers.

Sarah is an attorney at Clyde & Co LLP specializing in insurance coverage for directors’ and officers’, employment practices, professional, and commercial general liability matters. Her work in contract interpretation, negotiation, and liability and risk assessment will provide valuable insight and resources for the broad range of matters presented to the Board.  Sarah is often faced with balancing competing interests and is skilled at finding consensus, common ground, and solutions to complex issues.  She is a member of her firm’s Women’s Initiative and Chair of the Parent & Carer Network which supports working parents and caregivers and works with firm leadership to address the needs of the parent and carer community.  This experience will help guide her in working to support our working families.  Sarah and Anthony have appreciated and taken advantage of the expanded BASC program and have been thrilled to see the Funball Camp offerings during school breaks.  Expanding these types of resources for our families is an area Sarah views as an opportunity for further growth and potential.

Sarah is a graduate of Lafayette College and Brooklyn Law School.  She is excited about the opportunity to give back to this wonderful community by serving on the Board of Education.

    • Elizabeth Kiehner moved to Bronxville in 2015 and is an engaged and active member of the community. She is a Sustaining Member of the Junior League, a member of the Bronxville Green Committee, and the Vice President of the Normandy Homeowners Association. She also served a three-year term on the Bronxville Non-Partisan Committee. She and her husband are raising two children in the Bronxville School system: Fergus (7th grade) and Agnes (9th grade).

Elizabeth is a seasoned executive, strategist, and award-winning author with over 25 years of leadership experience in digital innovation, public-private partnerships, and transformation. She is running for the Bronxville School Board to help equip students with the skills, support, and values they need to thrive in a rapidly changing world — while preserving the district’s tradition of academic excellence.

Currently, Elizabeth serves as Chief Growth Officer at Nortal, a global technology consultancy with deep expertise in digital government, healthcare, and workforce solutions. She leads teams across marketing, partnerships, acquisitions and organic business development to deliver mission-critical programs for clients including T-Mobile, Adobe, and public sector agencies. Her professional background includes senior leadership roles at IBM and Capgemini, where she worked to advance AI adoption and Workforce 3.0 initiatives with the federal government.

Her experience extends to the healthcare sector, where she worked with Memorial Sloan Kettering to drive digital innovation in patient care and operational efficiency while setting up a digital transformation office. A sought-after speaker on AI, digital disruption, and the future of work, Elizabeth continues to shape the intersection of business, technology, and human potential.

If elected, Elizabeth will bring a forward-thinking, collaborative, and solutions-oriented voice to the School Board. Her key areas of focus include:

      • Supporting educator success and student wellness
      • Advancing curriculum to include digital literacy, financial education, and future-ready skills
      • Strengthening transparency and community trust in school governance
      • Promoting inclusivity, and responsible technology use
